The GE Fanuc Emerson IC693ALG391 is an analog current output module that can be used for the Series 90-30 of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). This module provides two output channels with a scan time of 5 milliseconds which can convert a digital signal of 12 bits to an analog current signal. The IC693ALG391 offers two programmed output current ranges: from either four (4) to 20 milliamperes with a resolution of four (4) microamperes or from zero (0) to 20 milliamperes with a resolution of 5 microamperes. This module draws a current rating of 30 milliamperes at a voltage rating of +5 Volts DC and a current rating of 210 milliamperes at a voltage rating of 24 Volts DC. The IC693ALG391 has a LED indicator on the front panel to show the power state of this module.

The IC693ALG391 employs optical isolation to provide an electrical isolation with the backplane and wires. The IC693ALG391 can be easily mounted in an I/O slot of either a five (5) or 10-slot baseplate. This module generates an internal voltage of +24 Volts DC to drive and control the current loop outputs. The IC693ALG391 state can be easily set using the jumper located in the detachable terminal circuit connector. The IC693ALG391 offers the possibility to the user to employ an external power supply to power both the module and the loop current with a voltage rating range from 20 Volts DC to 30 Volts DC. The IC693ALG391 weighs approximately 340 grams (0.75 pounds) while shipping and operates at zero (0) to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) for industrial applications.
