The GE Fanuc Emerson IC693APU301 is a single axis positioning module (APM) that offers the possibility to mix and combine high-efficiency monitoring with PLC logic functions solver in a single embedded system. This intelligent motion controller can be programmed in as either a standard or follower mode. The IC693APU301 can be mounted on remote or expansion baseplate, baseplate or any of the Series 90-30 CPU, depending on the applications. Three (3) IC693APU301 APM modules can be added with an embedded CPU and eight (8) IC693APU301 APM modules can be used with a modular CPU. The IC693APU301 supports many motion programs with a maximum of ten (10) programs which can be integrated and saved in this module. The IC693APU301 communicates automatically with data tables through the PLC. The IC693APU301 includes two high-density 24-pin connectors which are labelled “A” and “B” on the front panel for servo links.

The IC693APU301 “A” connector includes connections dedicated to Axis 1 and the “B” connector includes general-purpose connections for 1-axis and Axis 2 APM. APM connectors are connected using a short cable with a 24-pin I/O connector to a 25-pin D-type terminal block. The IC693APU301 has five (5) LED indicators on the faceplate to show the current status of this APM. The IC693APU301 consumes a current rating of 800 milliamperes at a baseplate voltage rating of 5 Volts DC. The IC693APU301 is easy to use and a fully programmable module through either the VersaPro or the Logicmaster 90-30 software. The IC693APU301 in follower mode offers high-efficiency ”electronic gearing” for continuous master/slave user applications. The IC693APU301 in standard mode mixes high-efficiency monitoring with PLC logic functions solver in a single embedded system.
