IC693CPU323 is the CPU baseplate designed and manufactured by the GE Fanuc representing 90-30 Series. The module is also known as an embedded CPU. This module has 12K Bytes (6K bytes before release 7) user program memory maximum. The module has 320 I/O points for both the input and output. In addition, it has 340 timers, and it also supports shift registers. However, the module does not support the override, backup battery, and interrupts and is incompatible with the PCM and CCM. In comparison, it does have a ram for the storage of user programs for user applications. The module does it with the help of communication ports that it supports, such as Profibus, LAN and FIP, and EtherNet. Moreover, this baseplate module has power usage requirements: 5V DC voltage and 430 mA of current. This module has ten baseplates, but it only allows one baseplate per system. The processing speed is ten megahertz, while the process type is 80188. The operating temperature is 0 to 60 degrees C. Aside, there are plenty of CPU modules by the GE Fanuc, featuring additional memory storage, slots, user memory, I/O capabilities, and processing speed. These modules are formally classified into two categories: the modular CPUs models and the embedded CPUs. The baseplate contains the memory and chips inside the backplane board of the baseplate.
