The GE Fanuc Emerson IC693MDL742 is a discrete logic output module that includes sixteen (16) discrete output points which are positive logic outputs and supports a voltage rating range from 12 Volts DC to 24 Volts DC and an output current of 1 Ampere. The IC693MDL742 outputs are grouped into two (2) well-isolated groups of eight (8) outputs with a separate common power terminal for each group (A1 – A8 and B1 - B8) which are labeled with green LED indicators to show the status of outputs. The IC693MDL742 employs the backplane optical isolation offered by optocouplers to provide electrical isolation of 1500 Volts between logic and field sides and 500 Volts between groups. The IC693MDL742 can be easily mounted in an I/O slot of either 5 or 10-slot baseplate and at any input or output slots of the 90-30 PLC system. The IC693MDL742 offers a high-level of inrush current and is used in many industrial applications such as solenoids and motor starters.

The IC693MDL742 can be electrically supplied either by the operator or from a 12/24 Volt DC power supply. This module draws a current rating of 130 milliamperes at a voltage rating of +5 Volts DC on the backplane. The IC693MDL742 includes an “F” red LED indicator which indicates any short circuit protection trip when it happens. This module includes two (2) electronic short circuit protection circuits to protect outputs of two (2) groups. The IC693MDL742 outputs draw a maximum current rating of 1 Ampere per point and a maximum current rating of 4 Amperes per group. The IC693MDL742 output module includes a hinged door that supports an insert in between the outside and the inside surfaces. The IC693MDL742 outside left edge of the insert is blue to show that this device is a low rating voltage module. The IC693MDL742 hinged door inside area includes the wiring details of the circuit and the outside area contains the identification detail regarding the circuit. The IC693MDL742 weighs approximately 290 grams (0.65 pounds) while shipping.
