The IC697CPX928 is a 96 Megahertz, 32-Bit, Floating Point, 6 Megabyte (Medium) Memory Central Processing Unit by GE Fanuc. It is a single slot CPU with three serial ports and provides 6 Megabytes of battery-backed memory in the same slot. The IC697CPX928 contains 256K of non-volatile user flash memory and supports BMA in release 7.92 and later. The hardware supports floating point calculations and offers 12K inputs and outputs (any mix) and up to 8K analog I/O. The IC697CPX928 has a 96 Megahertz, 80486DX4 microprocessor and supports IC66 and IC697 I/O. The IC697CPX928 is programmed by MS-DOS software products or Windows based software products running on Windows 95 or Windows NT over Ethernet TCP/IP or through an SNP port. Additional features include configurable data and program memory, a battery-backed calendar clock, a three-position operation mode switch, password-controlled access, remote programmer keyswitch memory protection, seven status LEDs, software configuration, and in-system upgradeable firmware.
