The IC697MDL241 is a discrete input module from the Series 90-70 product line. It was designed and manufactured by Emerson - GE Fanuc. It is engineered to be used with programmable logic controller (PLC) devices. Speaking of its compatibility, limit switches, selection switches, pushbuttons, and 2-wire and 3-wire electronic proximity switches are among the input devices that are compatible with this module. The voltage rating of this discrete input module is 240 volts AC (alternating current). It comes with 16-point isolated inputs that have an input filter time of 20 milliseconds. Furthermore, its inputs are also compatible with the proximity switch capabilities. This discrete module has reactive inputs with IEC standard current-voltage properties that are consistent with a variety of proximity switches. Aside from that, it has LEDs, or light emitting diodes, for showing the on and off states of each point on the circuit logic side. The LEDs are mounted on the module's top. These indicators are considered useful in allowing operators to keep track of the operations, enabling the interaction to be more user-friendly while letting the operators take notes on real-time implementations of the module. Apart from that, this module may be set for programming on computers using software over the Ethernet TCP/IP port communication interface. The current rating of this unit is 20 milliamperes for the input operation. The continuous current required to operate this module is 0.25 amperes. The frequency range of this unit is 60 hertz. It does not support DC power. It is an AC power-only discrete input module.
