The IC697MDL653 is a 32-Point Positive/Negative Logic Input module manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation for its 90-70 Series of PLCs. The thirty-two (32) input points of this 24 Volt DC module are grouped in four (4) isolated sets, each comprised of eight (8) input points. This discrete Logic input module has a voltage of 24 Volts DC and has an input voltage range of -3 Volts to 30 Volts DC. The isolation voltage rating of the module is 1500 Volts for any input connected to the backplane and 500 Volts for between the four (4) input groups. This Positive/Negative Logic Input module has an input current of 10 milliamperes at the rated voltage and the input impedance is 2.6 kilo-ohms.

The IC697MDL653 has an on-state voltage of 13.5 to 30 Volts and an off-state voltage of zero (0) to 5 Volts. The on-state current of this module is 6 milliamperes to 15 milliamperes and the off-state current is zero (0) to 2 milliamperes. Moreover, the IC697MDL653 module has a configurable filter delay time of 1 millisecond to 10 milliseconds. The filter delay time configuration of the module is done on a point-by-point basis and the users need to note that all the input points feature the same filter time. It will require 0.3 Amperes of current from a 5 Volts bus. The IC697MDL653 module also has a mechanical keying capability that makes it impossible to be installed on the wrong base. The module also accepts wire gauges of AWG 22 to AWG 14. If required, the module can be removed easily from the slot in the rack.
