The IC697PWR711 is a Series 90-70 Power Supply Module by GE Fanuc Emerson. This device features operation from 120 Volts AC, 240 Volts AC, or 125 Volts DC. It three output voltages: +5 Volts DC output up to 20 Amperes, +12 Volts DC output up to 2 Amperes, and -12 Volts DC output up to 1 Ampere (100 Watts total). The IC697PWR711 may be used in either a single rack application or also to provide power to a secondary rack if the total load is within the supply rating. For interconnection to a second rack, the installer must use a pre-wired cable, as specified by the manufacturer in the order instructions via the user manual.

Specifications for the IC697PWR711 include a nominal rated voltage of 120/240 Volts AC, or 125 Volts DC and an input voltage range of 90 to 264 Volts AC (47-63 Hertz) for alternating current and 100 to 150 Volts DC for direct current input voltage range. Output power is 100 Watts maximum (total for all 3 outputs) and overvoltage limit for +5 Volts DC is 5.7 to 6.7 Volts. Overcurrent limit is 21 Amperes (typical) for +5 Volts DC, 3.5 Amperes (typical) for +12 Volts DC, and 1.6 Amperes (typical) for -12 Volts DC. Environmental specifications include an operating temperature range between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius and a storage temperature range between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius.

The GE Fanuc's 90-30 Series Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) family comprises the IC697PWR711 power supply module. The input power compatibility of this Module may be changed between 120 VAC and 240V AC through an external wire adjustment. The suitable voltage range for both nominal vali input voltages is 90 to 132 VAC or 180 to 264V AC, with a frequency of 47 to 63 Hz.
 The IC697PWR711 features a +5VDC, 12VDC, and -12VDC output voltage supply, as well as logic level sequencing signals to the backplane. The 48-pin backplane connector connects this power supply to the leftmost position of the 90-30 rack. This power supply may power a second rack as long as the overall load of the supplementary rack does not exceed the IC697PWR711's total capacity of 100 Watts. The 2nd rack, in particular, must be less than 5.2 amperes. Furthermore, powering the second rack necessitates the usage of a 3-foot connection wire. Because this wire is only meant to work up to 3 feet, the second rack must be within reach of it.
 It is built with a rack mount that slides in. The +5VDC output has a maximum output of 18 amperes, the +12VDC output has a maximum output of 2 amperes, and the -12VDC output has a maximum output of 1 ampere. Internal electronic short-circuit and inrush current protection are built into this power supply. An external switch of sufficient size must be fitted for branch circuit fusing. This power supply includes an ON/OFF switch that allows it to be turned on and off.
 When using AC voltage, the GE Fanuc Automation IC697PWR711 power supply module has electronic short circuit protection and power factor adjustment. If the IC697PWR711 power supply module of GE Fanuc Automation is projected to operate continuously in high-temperature, low-line-voltage situations, its requirements must be derated to ensure safe operation. Temperatures below 60 degrees Celsius are required for normal functioning. This power supply module is a plug-in module that is inserted in the GE IC697 rack’s left side slot or any VME integrator rack. The input half-cycle maximum inrush current of this Module is 3 Amps.
