The IC200MDD841 is a Mixed Discrete High Speed Counter Module. It offers twenty (20) positive logic type inputs with 24 VDC and twelve (12) positive logic type of outputs with 24 VDC and 0.5 Amperes. This mixed discrete module offers four Type A high-speed counter inputs and outputs in its default configuration with twelve standard inputs and eight standard outputs. Each counter of this mixed discrete highspeed counter offers a direct process of rapid and fast pulse signals up to 80 Kilohertz for a variety of industrial control applications. Velocity calculation and measurements, handling of material and process control are some of them. This module has reconfigurable inputs and outputs which can be utilized in multiple applications.

The IC200MDD841 highspeed counter inputs can be set-up as standard highspeed inputs as four type A counters, as two type A counters plus one A-quad-B counter and as one type A-quad B counter. Four outputs can be set up as pulse width modulated (PWM), pulse train, ramping pulse train, and highspeed counter outputs. The frequency of every PWM output is selectable in the range of 22 Hertz to 2.0 Kilohertz in setup operation of PWM. The duty cycle of pulse width modulated outputs can be set from 1 % to 100% depending on the frequency of PWM output. The sum of frequencies can be up to 5000 pulses per second during setup procedure of pulse train outputs and ramping pulse train outputs. The acceleration and deceleration process can be selected from 10 to 1000000 p/s2. The backplane provides the output for module operation and the output must be powered from an external source.
