The GE Fanuc Emerson IC200MDD844 is an input/output module that includes sixteen (16) inputs and outputs. The module inputs are grouped into a single group of sixteen (16) inputs that support a voltage from 0 volts DC to 30 volts DC. The module outputs are grouped into two (2) groups of eight (8) outputs that deliver a voltage from 10.2 volts DC to 30 volts DC. These inputs and outputs have green LED indicators to show the on/off status of points. The inputs are positive logic and the outputs are either positive or sourcing type points. This module employs the backplane optical isolation offered by optocouplers to provide electrical isolation of 250 volts AC continuously between logic and field sides and 1500 volts AC for one minute.

The IC200MDD844 can be easily mounted in any input or output slot of the baseplate. The device provides an on response time of 0.5 milliseconds and an off response time of 1 millisecond. The device draws a current of 70 milliamperes at a backplane voltage of 5 volts DC. The module outputs deliver a current of 0.5 amperes per point. The IC200MDD844 has an output voltage drop of 0.3 volts. The module intelligent processing is performed and achieved by either the NIU or the CPU. This VersaMax module supports an inrush current of 2 amperes for 100 milliseconds.
