The IC200MDL243 is a VersaMax 120 VAC discrete input module. This module has 16 isolated inputs that are either positive logic or of the sourcing kind. While the returning current is common, these inputs accept current from AC input devices. Each input does have a unique and distinct reply. The procedure that powers the IC200MDL243 begins in the backplane. The CPU, also known as the NIU, is the source of intelligent processing for the input module. LEDs are typical and indicate backplane power as well as the on/off status of each input point.
With an input voltage of 120 VAC nominal, or 0 to 132 VAC, the isolating of user input to logic and frames ground is 250 VAC continuously, or 1500 VAC for one minute. The On- and off-state voltages are between 70 and 132 VAC and 0 to 20 VAC, respectively, with minimum and maximum on and off-state currents of 5mA and 2.5mA, respectively. This module has a typical input impedance of 8600 ohms at 60 Hz and 10,032 ohms at 50 Hz.
Before the installation of the IC200MDL243, the user should inspect all elements for any contamination that may have happened during the shipment. If any portion of the equipment is damaged, these should be replaced since the damage may have an impact on overall unit performance. The installer should be aware that when the 16-point modules are installed vertically on the DIN rail, there is no derating. If mounted horizontally, however, derating will occur at a voltage of 132 volts AC.
