The 1305-BA09A is an Adjustable Frequency AC Drive manufactured by Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation as part of the 1305 AC Drives series. It is specially designed and intended to regulate the three-phase induction motors in industrial machines. The drive has a motor power rating of 4 kilowatts or 5 horsepower) with an output current of 9.0 amperes. It also features a variable output voltage that can be adjusted from 0 volts to around 460 volts. It has a scan port with a maximum of 250 milliamps, as well as an output frequency range of 0 – 400 hertz and input frequency range of 50 – 60 hertz. Installation of the device is flexible to accommodate numerous cable types. The majority of installations may be done with an unshielded cable. However, it must be placed away from sensitive electrical devices. A general rule of thumb is to allow 1.1-foot spacing for every 11 feet of length but avoid any long parallel runs. However, if the sensitive electrical devices are directly connected to the machines driven by the drive, a cable that is shielded is recommended. Two grounds should be connected, both the drive ground and motor frame ground.
