The Allen-Bradley 1394-AM50 is considered as a servo amplifier module that is employed with servo motors for either single or multi-axis control without series C improvements. This module can be mounted next to a system module. The axis module contains terminals at the bottom and has three PE connectors for grounding the system. The 1394-AM50 provides a continuous power output of 15.6 kilowatts. This module supports an input voltage range from 530 volts DC to 680 volts DC and current consumption of 23.3 amperes. The device offers a speed regulation from 0 percent to 0.05 percent of the base velocity with 100 percent torque disturbance. This amplifier module provides a static gain of 22.8 amperes per one millivolt and a modulation frequency of 5 kilohertz with an accuracy of ±10 percent.

The 1394-AM50 has a drift of 0.03 revolution per minute per one degree Celsius. The module offers an efficiency of 98 percent. This servo module has a capacitance of 465 microfarads and supports a peak current of 33.2 amperes for one second. The module is conceived to be installed with the rear heat sink that is extended outside the customer-supplied package. This servo amplifier module contains motor power connections at the faceplate. The 1394-AM50 includes motor brake and thermal connections at the bottom. This unit can operate at a temperature range of 0 degrees to 50 degrees Celsius (32 degrees to 122 degrees Fahrenheit) and a noncondensing relative humidity range from 5 percent to 95 percent for industrial applications. The 1394-AM50 weighs approximately 7 kilograms (15.44 pounds) while shipping.
