Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation's 1394-FK22TS is a 0.16 at 24 volt direct current kit cooling fan for the 1394 22 kilowatt product group. The 1394-FK22TS fan kit is designed to provide additional cooling for the system module. A shunt module is required for the Allen-Bradley 1394 22 kilowatt systems. The shunt modules discharge the extra regenerative power of the 1394 system. One shunt module is required for each 22 kilowatt smart power system module.

The 1394-FK22TS, which was manufactured by Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation, is a 0.16 ampere at 24 volts direct current kit cooling fan for the 1394 22 kW product group. The primary purpose of the 1394-FK22TS fan kit is to give the system module some extra cooling. Only 24 volts direct current is accepted by the 1394-FK22TS, which can come from the system module's volt direct current (logic) power source or a separate 24 volt DC source. The 1394-FK22TS is hooked to a 24 volt direct current source and mounted at the top-side of the system-module housing outside. To install the fan, one will need a volt meter and a tiny flathead screwdriver. The Allen-Bradley 1394 22 kW systems require a shunt module. The shunt modules dissipate the 1394 system's surplus regenerative power. Each 22-kilowatt smart power system module requires one shunt module. The 3600 watt kit includes this cooling fan. Connecting electricity from the system module, and depending on the shunt module you acquired, connecting power to the FK22TS fan inside the module is what wiring the shunt module will require. If the shunt module is mounted outside the cabinet, the shunt power cables and the 1394-FK22TS cooling fan wire must be run via a metal conduit to reduce EMI and RFI. Before wiring the FK22TS, remember that the desired direction of airflow is upward. If backward wiring of the fan is carried out, downward direction airflow will occur. To wire this fan kit to a 22 kW system, all steps must be carried out methodically to ensure no malfunction occurs.
