This module, the 1394C-SJT22-C-RL, is a series C module, which are the improved and updated variants within the Allen-Bradley multi-axis alternating current (AC) digital motion control modules. With a 22 kilowatts power rating and an input source voltage ranging from 360 to 480 volts alternating current at 50 to 60 hertz, this device requires a module in the form of an external shunt in order to utilize regenerative energy that is in excess. Furthermore, this system module's SERCOS interface makes it simple to operate and allows users to fine-tune its performance. All required standards to operate are met by the 1394C-SJT22-C-RL device. This module incorporates the axis-link technology that provides up to eight (8) different nodes through which data is transferred. By doing so, this module is able to synchronize complex motion applications. Regarding its built-in motion controller (IMC-S-CLASS), it provides configuration support for axes no more than four, and auxiliary encoder inputs no more than four. Moving on, this module has an input/output interface for the purpose of communication with devices such as controllers or other RIO's. 

This Allen-Bradley drive can maintain longevity and operation at a altitude of no greater than 1000 meters, or 3300 feet. It is important to note that the rated constant current derates by three (3) percent for every 300 meters gained in altitude. This deration can be carried out up to a maximum of 3000 meters, or 10,000 feet, of altitude. Furthermore, this module includes electromagnetic interference filtering, better terminations, and strain relieving wire clips.
