The Allen-Bradley 1398-DDM-075X is a part of Rockwell Automation’s 1398 ULTRA F-series of brushless servo motors. The motor is capable of high speeds and is mechanically interchangeable with a motor that belongs to the H-series. This servo motor has a wide array of industrial applications and is used in textile machinery plants and the automotive industry. Web processing can also be achieved by using this servo motor. The motor is equipped with a ferrite magnet that is capable of producing high inertia for matching loads when compared to the other series of brushless servo motors. This ensures that the motor can be used in high-capacity, heavy-duty applications. The motor can achieve rotational speeds of up to 4000 revolutions per minute and is also equipped with an internal thermal switch to protect the motor from damage caused by overheating. This in-built thermostat is powered by an input power supply with a voltage ranging from 0 volts to 230 volts of direct current.

The Allen-Bradley 1398-DDM-075X is a sophisticated brushless servo motor that is specifically designed for harsh environments. The compact design of the servo motor enables its easy installation and mounting. The motor is generally installed in a NEMA Type 4 rated enclosure with adequate clearances provided for ventilation and air supply. In order to ensure an increased service life at high rotational speeds, the motor has an axially trapped front bearing housed in a steel insert. The optical encoder mounted on the motor can provide 2000 quadrature pulses as well as standard commutation channels that can interface with the digital drives.
