The Allen-Bradley 20-HIM-A3 is a PowerFlex 7 Human Interface Module (HIM) that provides a liquid crystal (LCD) display. This handheld module can be manipulated through a full-numeric keypad that has soft, navigation, numeric, and function keys to easily program and configure the drive and I/O peripherals. This keypad has an improved touch response to reduce and minimize the error-free data entry. The module supports an input voltage of 12 Volts DC and consumes a current of 140 milliamperes. This HIM supports the English language and many others such as customary Asian and European languages. The HIM screen is organized into three main zones: status bar, a data area, and soft key labels. This device is compatible with all PowerFlex 7-Class drives except PowerFlex 753/755 drivers.
The 20-HIM-A3 supports DPI drive protocol with a data rate of either 125 kilobits per second or 500 kilobits per second. The device offers for both drive and peripherals easier custom name assignments to minimize necessary key presses. This HIM contains a flashing LCD screen that can offer better visibility when either alarms or faults are encountered. The HIM keypad includes dynamic soft keys that can easily change either functions or names based on either data entry or screen mode to reduce and minimize keypad keypresses and to simplify the HIM functionality. This unit can operate at a temperature range of zero (0) to 50 degrees Celsius (32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit) and a noncondensing relative humidity range from 5 to 95% for industrial applications. The 20-HIM-A3 weighs approximately 91 grams (0.2 pounds) while shipping.
