The Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 20-HIM-A6 is a state-of-the-art interface device that enables to user to exercise an improved degree of control over the industrial automation system. The interface can be used in conjunction with the alternating current drives that belong to the PowerFlex Series to create an effective speed control system that improves the efficiency of the mechanical components in the industrial system. The interface can be mounted in a remote location in a NEMA-rated enclosure and requires an interface cable to establish a communication channel with the adjustable frequency drive. The device can be installed in either the first or the second port of the drive and also draws electrical power from the host to ensure that the operations of the interface are carried out in an efficient manner.
The Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 20-HIM-A6 is equipped with an integrated keypad that allows the user to enter information and data into the industrial automation system. The keypad supports alphanumeric characters, negative numbers, decimal values, and variables and serves as the primary input mechanism of the interface. A number of interactive menus are also configured into the interface and allow the user to customize the operation of the control system. The device draws a voltage of 12 volts of direct current from the host drive and consumes a current of 140 milliamperes at the rated voltage. The interface communicates with other devices of the control system at speeds ranging from 125 kilobytes per second to 500 kilobytes per second and can also be used to transmit data and files across the automation system.
