The Allen-Bradley 2098-DSD-HV050X is a servo drive that belongs to Rockwell Automation’s range of Ultra 3000 drives. It supports simple stand-alone indexing as well as multi-axis integrated motion. The drive uses standard high-density D-shell connectors. It has eight selectable general-purpose inputs and four selectable general-purpose outputs and relay outputs. It has a built-in support feature for multi-turn absolute encoders. It also supplies external logic power in order to maintain position during power loss. The device is fitted with one serial port which supports both RS-232 and RS-485 communications. This module has an Autobaud feature that allows the device to determine the network data rate. This module contains a set of parameters used to configure and monitor drives. These parameters can also be configured by changing the values associated with individual parameters.

The Allen-Bradley 2098-DSD-HV050X has an input voltage ranging from 230 volts to 480 volts root-mean-square three-phase alternating current. The input frequency of the alternating current supplied to this module ranges from 47 Hertz to 63 Hertz. The nominal input current of this module is 7 amperes of root-mean-square alternating current.
