The Allen-Bradley 22C-D038A103 is an adjustable frequency alternating current drive that is primarily used for speed and torque control applications in industrial automation systems. The device is commonly used in conjunction with motors in mechanical pumps, fans, and compressors. The input signal transmitted to the motors connected to these mechanical components generally has a specified frequency that can be modulated by the drive to effectively control the speed of the motor. An insulated bipolar gate transistor can be used to ensure that the ability to control the speed of the motor rests with the user.
