The Allen-Bradley 2711-K10C14 is an operator terminal that finds many uses in industrial automation. It is equipped with a 10.1-inch grayscale display that provides a clear and concise presentation of information to the user. It is fitted with a stainless steel domed membrane keypad which has been tested and can provide over one million presses. The keypad is easy to access and use. It functions on an input power of 85 to 264 Volts of alternating current that protects it from sudden surges and dips in power. The panel is mounted in an enclosure with a memory card slot that can be used to house an external storage device. The terminal houses an RS-232 printer port that can be used to connect to a printer and print logs and data. Printing is a background operation and does not affect the working and functions of the operator terminal. The user can also connect to a personal computer to transfer files, data, and applications using this port. The operator terminal is equipped with a Modbus communication port which allows it to communicate with other controllers and devices. Status indicators are present within the terminal in the form of red and green LEDs. The behavior of these LEDs helps the user to identify and troubleshoot problems with ease. The operator terminal weighs just over 6 pounds. It can sustain up to 2,000 Hertz of vibrations during operation. It supports an alarm list queue to store information about triggered alarms. The terminal can store up to 1000 alarms in its non-volatile RAM.
