The Allen-Bradley 2711-K10G8L1 is a state-of-the-art operator terminal and is part of the Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation PanelView 1000 Grayscale Terminals. It is equipped with a stainless-steel domed membrane keypad with an actuation of over one million presses. The keypad allows the user to input commands and information with ease. The keypad can be used to enter alphanumeric characters, statistics, variables, and ASCII characters. It is also fitted with a 10.1-inch grayscale display screen with a display resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The application screens are aligned with standard objects, tools, imported bitmaps, and graphics. The operator terminal takes an input power rated at 24 volts of direct current. It houses an RS-232 printer port that can be used to connect to a printer and print terminal logs and other data in the background whilst the operator terminal is performing its usual functions. The RS-232 port can also be used to connect to an RS-232 port of a personal computer. It also has a DH+ port which can be used to connect to a PLC-5, SLC 5/04, or ControlLogix controller on a DH+ link. The entire operator terminal is housed within a NEMA 12, 13 or 4X enclosure which provides durability and ample ventilation to the operator terminal.
