The 2711-K5A3 from Rockwell is featured in PanelView Standard Operator line of terminals for industry. The model allows an operator to interact with it using a keypad interface with 10 function buttons ranging from F1 to F10 that could be set up for many different purposes. The consented temperature for the terminal is 0-55 degrees Celsius. The terminal shall withstand vibrations below 2 g under 2000 hertz. The 2711-K5A3 provides the user a 4.72 inches wide and 2.36 inches tall monochromatic LCD display. The operator should provide an access point to the behind of the model in order to perform maintenance and troubleshooting responsibility properly. The terminal must be installed in a site with IEC-1131-2 pollution grade meaning that only non-conductive pollution can occur. The panel needs to installed below 6561 feet to be able to work correctly. The device has a DH-485 slot for communication with any PLC or other units. The panel can be configured in 5 languages: German, French, English Chinese and Spanish. Transfer of the application to the module can be done over the network providing a gateway. The user must leave adequate room in the case of the equipment to have correct ventilation. To illuminate the screen, the system uses a backlight, whose assumed life of around 100,000 hours of continued operation.
