The Allen-Bradley 2711-K6C16L1 operator terminal is a user-controlled electronic terminal that can be used to monitor and control a variety of parameters within the system. The interface provided by the terminal allows the user to assimilate the feedback provided by his system and adds a degree of control during operation. The keypad terminal display offers a set of function keys (F1…F10) which allow the user to trigger and operate a specific set of functions. Cursor keys are provided in a set of displayed lists and enable the operator to select numeric entries and configurations. The operator terminal also offers a state-of-the-art touch screen terminal display with a plethora of functions and options. The objects on the terminal screen occupy one or more of the screen cells, and the 128 cells provided by the screen allow the user to create, initiate and operate applications in an interactive manner. The 2711-K6C16L1 operator terminal also has several connection ports that can be used to interface and communicate with other compatible devices. A DF1 communication port (RS-232) is provided and can connect with a PLC, SLC or an Allen-Bradley MicroLogix Controller. The controller must also possess a compatible DF1 port. A remote I/O port on the operator terminal can be used to connect with external I/O devices such as scanners or printers. A memory card slot is also provided, and memory cards can be used to transfer and save information from the PanelView 600 terminal. These terminals function on an operating temperature code of T4, which implies a maximum operating temperature of 135°C (275°F).
