Rockwell Automation’s Allen-Bradley PanelView 900 is a Human Interface Module (HIM) or Operator Interface Module (OIM) for use with compatible industrial automation equipment. The PanelView 900 requires an input power supply of 120 Volts AC, and it can supply output power between 85 and 265V AC at a frequency range from 47 Hertz to 63 Hertz. The electrical power consumption of this unit peaks at 110 Volt-Amps (VA). The PanelView 900 includes a 9-inch gas plasma monochrome display screen with a resolution of 640 x 400 pixels. The PanelView 900 also comes with a Remote Input/Output (I/O) Communication Port for use with a sub-scanner or Remote Input/Output network. This unit also comes with an RS-232 Printer port for use with printers supporting the enhanced character set from IBM.

The PanelView 900 includes an operator input panel with a numeric keypad (0 through 9) as well as a backspace key, minus sign, decimal point, and an Enter key. This unit also has Function keys ranging from F1 through F16 which allow the operator to assign custom functions. With the PanelView 900, the assigned settings are persistent between power cycles, eliminating the need to manually re-program after each power on/off cycle.
