The 2711-NL9 is a light-emiting diode (LED) replacement backlight kit that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. The LED replacement is compatible with both the PanelView 1000 color Series D and E terminals and grayscale Series C and D terminals. It is one of the many 2711 PanelView standard terminal accessories available in the market. The 2711-NL9 backlight has a rated half-life of 50,000 hours. The PanelView terminals are widely used for different types of industrial applications because of the multiple benefits they offer. The terminals are very low in cost as compared to HMIs and are available in multiple kinds of color and grayscale displays. Many of the PanelView standard terminals have replaceable backlights that are easily available and can be replaced when needed. One should wear a proper grounded ESD wristband for touching electronic components in the logic module to avoid any damage or casualty. Once power is cut off, the covering is removed completely to gain proper access inside the terminal. The old LED is then disconnected and replaced with the new LED from the kit. It is made sure that it is tightly connected and then the cover is again secured. The terminal is powered to verify and check if the new LED works according to the given specifications.
