A PanelView 1200 terminal, the 2711-TC4 provides a quick, easy, compact, and low-cost operator interface. It is an efficient alternative for conventional control panels. It comes pre-assembled and is suitable to install in a 19-inch rack or control panel cut-out. The terminal directly connects to any remote input/output connection by Allen-Bradley. It features a 12-inch color CRT display with a format of 24 rows and 80 columns. It also features a user-configurable display alignment and screen saver, and can display eight colors simultaneously from sixteen available colors. The terminal is operated by a touch screen that allows the operator to perform the desired task by pressing the correlated on-screen button. The touch screen has 10 touch cells along the width and 12 touch cells along the height. The touch screen is rated for an actuation of 1 million presses. The terminal supports an RS-232 port that can be attached to the development system for uploading/downloading application files. The RS-232 port can also be linked with a printer to print alarm messages, screen images, or reports. The 2711-TA1 features an alarm relay that may be used to activate a remote alert or warnings when certain conditions are met. The remote I/O connector on the terminal's back links it to the hosting PLC unit through the remote I/O link. The terminal provides 64 kilobytes of regular user memory in RAM. This memory is backed by an in-built battery. An extra EPROM can be installed for application file backup or to add 64 kilobytes of additional application RAM, which would increase the total usable RAM to 128 kilobytes. The terminal requires a switching power supply with a rating of 90 to 132 or 180 to 264 volts AC (automatic detection by terminal) at a frequency of 47 to 63 hertz, and power consumption of 80 watts. The 2711-TA1 is a stud-mounted terminal and it meets the following standards: NEMA 12 & 13 and NEMA 4x.
