The Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus 400 2711-K4M5D is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) or operator terminal with a 3.5-inch, grayscale display and glove-compatible keypad inputs. This DC Input unit possesses multiple connectivity methods, including an RS-232 port and a USB port. This operator interface terminal has a total of 256 megabytes of Random Access Memory (RAM) and a total nonvolatile memory of 512 Megabytes. However, a total of 73 Megabytes is free for the user, while the majority is taken up by system and application data. The graphical screen features a display resolution of 320 x 240 pixels (pels) with a glove-compatible keypad. The Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus 400 2711-K4M5D has a wide selection of keys, including programmable function keys F1 through F8 to activate defined functions on the terminal display. This operator input terminal also has numeric keys and the standard enter, left, right, tab, and shift keys. Navigational arrows allow the manipulation of the cursor on screen, and these keys are designed to be operated easily even while wearing gloves.

The Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus 400 2711-K4M5D can be deployed and operated within a Pollution Degree 2 industrial environment. If used within an enclosure, it is essential that cooling fans be installed to maintain an ambient temperature below 55 degrees Celsius. While not essential, it is strongly recommended that heating also be installed to maintain the ambient temperature above 0 degrees Celsius.
