The 2711P-RC3 is an External Compact Flash Memory card with the capacity of 256 Megabytes manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This portable Compact Flash mass storage device is ideal to be used with PanelView Plus and PanelView Plus CE terminals. For this purpose, there are three (3) types of Compact flash memory cards available: the 2711P-RC3 flash memory cards are the middle sized cards that are manufactured specifically to work in harsh industrial environments. Using flash memory cards from other manufacturers may result in unpredictable behavior of the PanelView Plus and PanelView Plus CE terminals. The 2711P-RC3 compact memory flash card is built on NAND technology and includes the feature of checking the errors and correcting that re-reads the block in case any it detects an error in the data.

The 2711P-RC3 external memory card is inserted into the terminal from the back. To install the memory card, follow the arrow symbol printed on the card to insert it correctly into the slot. For removing the card from the terminal slot, press the eject button. With PanelView Plus 400 and PanelView Plus 600 terminals, the card removing procedure is performed without an eject button. After you eject the card from the slot, pull it out with your fingers. This compact flash memory card interface is a 50 pin female connector, a subset of 68-pin PCMIA connector, making it easy to connect with a PC through the 2711P-RCH adapter from Allen-Bradley. The 2711P-RC3 memory card has dimensions of 43 x 36 x 3.3 millimeters and weighs 0.03 kilograms. The optimum operating temperature of the 2711P-RC3 card is 0 to 55 degrees Celsius. When the card is not in use, it should be stored in a dark place away from any type of liquids.
