The 2711P-RGT15 from Allen-Bradley is an antiglare overlay that is compatible with the Panelview plus and Panelview plus 1500 terminals. If used outside, UV radiation from the sun discolors or yellows all polymers in the Panel View Plus and Panel View 1500 terminals, causing them to turn brittle gradually. The 2711PRGT15 may protect terminal front panels from direct UV radiation exposure, hence extending their life. A removable protective coat is located on the adhesive side of this overlay.

The Allen-Bradley 2711P-RGT15 is an antiglare overlay for the Panel View Plus and Panel View Plus CE touch 1500 terminals. When used outdoors, the sun's ultraviolet rays cause discoloration or yellowing of all plastics in the Panel View Plus and Panel View CE touch 1500 terminals, and in turn, they become brittle over time. By using an antiglare coating, specifically, the 2711PRGT15 users can protect the front panels of terminals from direct exposure to UV rays and increase their lifespan. A removable protective layer is featured with this antiglare overlay on its adhesive side. To remove this protective layer, users need to slightly pull back on the tab.

 

Furthermore, the upper layer's adherence is affected by grease. Therefore, before installation, grease, fingerprints, streaks, and lint needs to be removed from the terminal screen using a Windex glass cleaner. Hold the tab and peel back the protective layer covering the overlay's adhesive surface on one of the short sides to attach the overlay. The markings included in this overlay should not be removed. As you work on the following stage, keep the peeled back piece of the protective coating away. Place the antiglare overlay in the middle of the terminals' surface and gently place the revealed adhesive area. Gradually peel away the remainder of the protective coating, pressing the antiglare overlay onto the display with a clean cloth. Ensure that there are no distortions or bubbles in the overlay. Squeeze all around the borders of the overlay with just a clean cloth. The flat surface of fingernails can also be used to thoroughly seal it and eliminate any air bubbles caught in the adhesive.
