The TLY-A230T-HJ64AA is a servo motor that is used for wide range of application and, therefore, it is very economical. It operates under low inertia as it employs permanent magnets arranged in three stacks. The servo motor has a maximum speed rated at 6000 revolutions per minute with a voltage supply in alternating current mode rated at 230 volts. The torque is rated at 1.16 Newton-meters and is continuous. If need be, a holding break can be integrated, and its voltage is rated at 24 volts direct current. 70-millimeter bolts are used as mounting flanges and are circular. Cables are used for connections. The cables have circular connectors. The approximated cable length is 1 meter (39.4 inches). To obtain the distance and the speed feedback, the incremental encoder is used and gives off 2000 lines per revolution. This system of giving off feedback is both simple and saves on cost. The device rated power is between 50 watts to 15 kilowatts.

The enclosure is both watertight and offers protection against entrance of dust or other small flying particles which may be hazardous for internal parts. It is rated by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association as IP65 type of enclosure. The servo motor has a shaft key as well but no shaft seal. The servo motor has been tested by the Underwriter Laboratory and, therefore, approved as having met the industrial wide requirements. In addition, it also meets the safety standards required in the United States and the European Union therefore is CSA and CE certified.
