The interconnect cable has a length of approximately 4700 millimeters, or the equivalent of 18.5 inches. The 1745-C2 interconnect cable has primary application in connecting various expansion units to SLC 100 controllers to increase their input/output (I/O) capacity. Three types of expansion units can be connected to the controller. These expansion units include the basic expansion unit, the relay output expansion unit, and the analog input expansion unit. These units are interconnected with the processor unit to increase the number and type of I/O circuits. The expansion units are connected to the cable slot on the side of the SLC 100 CPU unit for secure connection.
