The 1746-NO8I is a version of the 8-Point Analog Output Module manufactured by Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation as part of the SLC 500 series. This analog circuit module has a 5-volt DC supply backplane, which supplies the entire SLC circuit, as well as a supply backplane of 24 volt DC. It has a maximum backplane current consumption of 250 milliamps at 24 volts DC and 120 milliamps at 5 volts DC. It comes with a removable terminal block and offers connections for eight analog output channels. This module is specially designed and intended to be connected with the current devices as well as analog voltages. The 1746-NO8I Analog Output Module provides eight output voltage channels and has no input channel. It features A Jumper, or J4, which are used to select whether the SLC backplane provides a power of 24 volt DC or an optional 24 volts external power supply. Allen Bradley 1746-NO8I Analog Output Module comes with a thermal dissipation of 6.6 watts. It has a maximum wire size of 14 - 24 AWG wire per terminal, with an output range of 0 – 21.5 milliamps. This module has an output coding or proportional scaling of 0 – 32,767, and an output D/A converter resolution of 16-bit with 366 nA per count. The module receives the power via SLC 500 chassis from the 5 volts DC and the 24 volts DC power supply. The system power must be turned off, including chassis power, as well as the external 24 volts DC power supply before installing the jumper.
