The 1746-P1 is manufactured by Allen-Bradley and can be used to supply power to an SLC 500 system. In any situation where separate power supply for the SLC 500 system is needed, attachments at the 1746 I/O chassis on the left is needed. The main purpose of the 1746-P1 is to provide power supply at the processor and for each I/O slot. One great advantage of the 1746-P1 is the LED indicators which help to determine if there is adequate power supply into the system. Also, the CPU is equipped with a hold-up time of 20 ms or 3000 ms with full loads and no-load, respectively. This protects your system from corruption or loss of files in case there's a cut in the power supply. The user power voltage is between 18-30 Volts at 24 Volts of Direct Current.

The overcurrent supplied is 15 Amperes at its peak, while the 1746-P1 measures 1800 Volts of Alternating Current RMS for 1 second in isolation. It is equipped with two 14 AWG wires as a maximum per terminal. It is safe from fire hazard because it is equipped with a power fuse supply mainly for that purpose. The recommended operating temperature is 0-60 degrees Celcius, but it can be stored in temperatures between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius. It has dimensions of 140 x 58 x 145 millimeters with a weight of 0.9 Kilograms. The 1746-P1 is a piece of open equipment but should be used in an encasement that is fit to prevent any harm or damage that can be caused by the live parts to any surrounding individuals. The perfect enclosure would be any material whereby the interior is only accessible by the use of a tool.

Produced by Allen-Bradley, 1746-P1 is a power supply under the SLC 500 family line of products. This product is used to supply power to a matching system. The main purpose of this unit is to provide power at the processor and each I/O slot in an SLC 500 system. In order to protect the system from corruption or other problems, the CPU has a hold-up time. This product has a 20 ms (twenty milliseconds) hold-up time when at full load and when at no load, 3000 ms (three thousand milliseconds).

The 1746-P1 power supply's line voltage is eighty-five to one hundred thirty-two volts (85 to 132V) and one hundred seventy to two hundred sixty-five volts (170 to 265V) alternating current (AC) at a frequency range of 47 to 63 (forty-seven to sixty-three) hertz (Hz). The required general line power for this device is 135VA with an inrush current of 20 (twenty) amperes maximum. Part number 1746-P1 has a current capacity of two (2) amperes at five volts (5V) direct current (DC), as well as zero-point-four-six (0.46) amperes at twenty-four volts (24V) direct current. This device has a 24V (twenty-four volt) DC (direct current) user-power current capacity of two hundred milliamperes (200 mA) and a twenty-four volt (24V) DC user-power voltage range of eighteen to thirty volts (18 to 30V) DC. The max user-supplied overcurrent protection for this device is 15 A. The temperature range recommended for this product's operation is from zero to sixty (0 to 60) degrees Celsius, or 32 to 140 °F. However, at a temperature above 55 (fifty-five) °C, or 131 °F, the current capacity derates by five percent. The isolation for this particular power supply is 1800V AC RMS for one (1) second. To protect the 1746-P1's fuse, protection is included. The power supply's physical dimensions are 65 x 140 x 140 mm (2.56 x 5.70 x 5.51 inches).
