1756-IA16 is an Allen-Bradley complex Logix module. It has a DIN rail which makes it flexible during the installation. It measures 8 by 8 by 4 inches. This module houses 16 inputs equivalent to 8 groups. Its total backplane power is 0.58 Watts. The module’s operating voltage of 1756IA16 ranges between 74 and 132 volts alternating current and 50 or 60 Hertz. At off-state, its voltage is 20 volts at maximum and 13 milliamperes maximum on-state current at 132 volts alternating current. Its inrush maximum current is 250 milliamperes peak. The 1756TBNH and 1756TBSJH are the housing removable terminal block and their isolation voltage is 125 volts continuous. The producer-consumer interface technology used by this module enhances allows the sharing of inputs and output status among multiple controllers. The main function of this module is to boost control and communication between the machine and the operator. This module is easily installed, it also has complete instructions and a jumper bar for installing the thermocouple module. During the mounting of this module on a ControlLogix chassis, a removable terminal block or 1492 interface module is needed in order to connect the field-side wiring. For the digital modules, the interface modules use pre-wired cables for output terminal blocks. The 1756-IA16 has a cyclic time of 200 microseconds and 750 milliseconds and a timestamp input of plus or minus 200 microseconds.it has one slot width and one key switch position. Its north American temperature code is T4. This module has self-diagnostic tools that detect faults during operation thus reducing the repair and troubleshooting time.
