The Allen-Bradley 1756-IC16 is a point module with 16-points. It is a type of ControlLogix module from Allen-Bradley. The module comes with single-width slots. This controller can be paired with either the 1756-TBSH or the 1756-TBNH RTB. There is one (1) RTB keypad that helps with programming and configuring this controller. The RTB keypad is digitally dialed with all the necessary commands and keys. Unfortunately, there are no isolation segments between individual input groups. The continuous insulation voltage rating on this controller module is 250 volts. It is suitable for inputs-to-backplane applications. The basic inputs-to-backplane continuous insulation rating for this controller is 125 volts. This controller comes equipped with many advanced features such as the input filter time and change of state features.
The Allen-Bradley 1756-IC16 can be set up in both distributed output and input racks. If users need to change the location of this controller, they can do that without the fear of permanent damage to its performance. Two (2) other advanced features on this controller module are digital data and block data transfer. Fast transfer features are also applicable for both analog and specialty data. Also, users do not need to program the message instructions manually for this purpose. Furthermore, this controller can swiftly transfer data between I/O adapters and other industrial controllers. The maximum operating temperature for this controller is 60 degrees Celsius. For smooth operation, this controller must be supplied with a voltage in the range of 30 to 60 volts direct current (DC).
