The Allen-Bradley 1756-L74 is a ControlLogix 5570 controller module that is included in the Bulletin 1756 series. This module is able to handle 32 tasks with up to one hundred programs per task. Up to 500 controller configurations are supported by this module. It features one built-in USB port that is used for programming and controller configuration. The module features 16 Megabytes of available user memory along with one Gigabyte of additional non-volatile data capacity in the form of an SD card that is provided as standard. An optional upgrade to a two Gigabyte SD card is also supported. The module also has 0.98 Megabytes of memory reserved for I/O usage. The module is capable of up to one hundred and twenty-eight thousand (128,000) digital I/O connections and up to four thousand (4,000) analog I/O connections. A capacitor energy storage module is also provided as standard. It is removable and can be replaced by the user. The module consumes 2.5 watts of power and has a thermal power dissipation rating of 8.5 BTU per hour. The unit has a current draw of 5 milliamperes at 1.2 volts DC and 800 milliamperes at 5.1 volts DC. The module has an isolation voltage rating of 30 volts when operating continuously. It has been type tested at 500 volts AC for up to one minute with a basic insulation type between the USB port and the system. This unit has a slot width of one and can be installed in any slot in the chassis. It has an approximate weight of 0.25 kilograms, or the equivalent of 0.55 pounds.
