The 1756-M03SE is a SERCOS interface module by Allen-Bradley or Rockwell Automation. The serial real time communication system helps to interface ControlLogix controllers with SERCOS interface drives. This interface module enables the real time, high speed serial communication to the control digital drives. This SERCOS interface module can adjust up to a maximum of three (3) drives. The serial communication system used by the interface module offers a communication speed of 4 or 8 Megabytes per second. The SERCOS interface module has a SERCOS cycle time of 0.5 milliseconds for up to two (2) drives and 1 millisecond for a maximum of four (4) drives at a 4 Megabyte communication speed.
The 1756-M03SE SERCOS interface module offers a SERCOS cycle time of 0.5 milliseconds up to a maximum of four drives at an 8-Megabyte communication speed. This interface module offers a power dissipation rating of 5.0 Watts and 10.0 Volts per meter of radiated RF immunity. The ESD immunity of the module is rated at 4 Kilovolts for contact discharges and 8 Kilovolts for air discharges. This module utilizes velocity, position, and torque modes for controlling the drives. It must be installed in an I/O chassis, i.e. 1756-A4, 1756-A7, 1756-A10, 1756-A13, and 1756-A17 where it occupies a single slot. The module uses plastic cables and glass fiber optic cabling for connection to drive and for linking from the drive. There are three axes available in the module with an operating and non-operating shock rating of 30G and 50G, respectively. The maximum operating temperature rating for the module is 60 degrees Celsius. It is also CE and C-Tick certified. The module must be stored at a temperature range from -40 degrees to 85 degrees Celsius while in non-operating conditions.
