Description:

The Allen-Bradley 1756-PSCA2 is a chassis adapter module for use in redundant power supply systems. This device serves to combine the power output from the redundant system and transfer it to the backplane of the chassis. The module is rated for operation at 24 Volts DC and has an input current rating of 2.8 Amperes at operating voltage. This module has an open enclosure and is mounted on the left of the chassis.

The 1756-PSCA2 is a redundant power supply chassis adapter module that is made by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It is used to integrate the power provided from the redundant power supplies to the input power connection in the ControlLogix chassis backplane. It has a current capacity of 1.5 Amperes at a voltage of 1.2 Volts DC. At the operating voltage of 24 Volts DC, this adapter is rated for 2.8 Amperes of current capacity. The wire connection between the adapter and the power supply module is via a power supply cable with model number 1756-CPR2. The wire category for connections is 3. This device complies with ATEX and IEC standards and is placed in the T4 temperature category. It has a T5 classification according to North American standards. The adapter has an open-style enclosure. It has a supported operating temperature range between 0 degrees and 60 degrees Celsius (32 degrees and 140 degrees Fahrenheit). The storage temperature range is -40 degrees to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 degrees and 185 degrees Fahrenheit). This module is intended for operation in environments that have a relative humidity between 5 percent and 95 percent non-condensing. The 1756-PSCA2 is built to withstand operational shocks of 30 G and non-operational shocks of up to 50 G. The module is rated for 2 G of vibrational shocks at a frequency between 10 Hertz and 500 Hertz. This unit complies with IEC 61000-6-4 for emissions and has electrostatic discharge immunity at 6 Kilovolts for contact and 8 Kilovolts for air discharges.
