Description:

The 1761-CBL-AM00 by Allen-Bradley is a cable that connects AIC+ processors to Micro-Logix 1000 processors. It has an RS232 operational port, an 8pin Mini-DIN to 8pin Mini-DIN connector, and a length of 0.5 meters. It uses an RS-232 (8-pin mini-DIN) communication connector to link Micro-Logix 1000 processors to AIC+ interface converters. It does not require an external power source, and the "cable" setting on the selection switch is the default. It has no spacing restrictions except for the movement of the DIN-rail latch.

The Allen-Bradley 1761-CBL-AM00 is a communication cable for connection between AIC+ and MicroLogix 1000 series processors. It features an RS232 operating port, 8pin Mini-DIN to 8pin Mini-DIN, and it is 0.5 meters in length. It uses an RS232-8pin mini-DIN communication connector to connect MicroLogix 1000 processors to other devices like the Advanced Interface Converter Plus. It does not require an external power supply and its selection switch setting is "cable". 

 

The following are the environmental classifications for this cable to be put in: Hazardous Environment, Class I, and Division 2. Furthermore, for horizontal mounting, this cable should be installed in a temperature range of +32 to +131 Fahrenheit, and +32 to +104 Fahrenheit for vertical mounting. When MicroLogix controllers are configured for DH-485 protocol, this cable via the AIC+, catalog number 1761-NET-AIC, allows them to establish a connection to a network like the DH485 network. To connect a DH485 network, you'll need the appropriate tools to strip the shielded cable and connect it to the AIC Plus with the cable and terminators. Two isolated RS-232 ports and one RS-485 port are available on the AIC+. The Advanced Interface Converter Plus is also able to serve as an RS232 isolator, adding a layer between it and the controller's communications port, and any connected equipment. Ensure that the 1761-CBL-AM00 linking the MicroLogix 1000 controller to the AIC Plus is not interfering with the door of the housing when placing it in a housing. This cable should only be installed in a housing, and it should be kept inside the housing or be safeguarded by conduit or other means. Wiring should be done in compliance with NEC articles 501 to 503, &/or CEC Section 18 - 1J2, if applicable.
