The Allen-Bradley 1771-ASC is a Remote I/O Module. This device can be employed to interface with logic controllers and RIO modules. The module offers a data transmission rate of 57.6 kbps at a chassis distance of 3048 meters (10000 feet), 115 kbps at a chassis distance of 1524 meters (5000 feet), and 230 kbps at a chassis distance of 762 meters (2500 feet) by employing the 1770-CD interconnection cable. The 1771-ASC consumes a backplane current of 1 Ampere at a voltage of 5 Volts DC. This adapter dissipates a thermal power of 17.06 British Thermal Units (BTU) per hour and an electric power of 5 Watts. The module includes LED indicators that help with troubleshooting and show the current communication status.
