The 1771-CP2 is an industrial power supply cable designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation. It is grey in color and coated with a thin polymeric film which protects the wire from exposure to the hazardous industrial conditions. The coating meets the safety, environmental, health and performance requirements of the European Union thus CE certified. It is also labeled with a C-Tick mark. The wire is approximately 5 feet (1.52 meters) long. The 1771-CP2 is used to connect the programmable logic controller of series 5 (PLC 5), Bulletin 1771-P7 power supply to the rack-mounted I/O chassis. The ends of the connecting wire that are attached to the I/O chassis connecter and the power supply connector are fastened using small screws that comes with the 1771-CP2 wire. The power supply should always be turned off during connection and the wire should not be tightly stretched but provide an allowance to avoid much stress and strain on the connectors. The wiring arm is of part number 1771-WN and the wire is capable of supporting a backplane current of up to 1 ampere.
