The Allen-Bradley 1771-P10 is a power supply module that belongs to the 1771 Power Supply Series of modules. It transmits 8 amperes of current to the I/O chassis at 5 volts of direct current. This module can power both Series A and B of the 1771 Series I/O chassis. The input terminals of this unit must be connected to 97 to 145 volts of direct current for proper module operation. This module can be used with processors that do not require an integral power supply. It cannot, however, be used with 1772-LSP, 1772-LWP, or 1772-LXP processors. The list of processors that this power supply module includes is 1772-LS, 1772-LW, 1772-LX, 1771AL, 1771AR2, 1771ASB, and 1771-AS. The 1771-P10 power supply should not be connected in parallel to any other power supply unit except another 1771-P10 power supply. There is a parallel connector on the front end of the device that can be used for connecting two of these power supplies. The interface of the 1771-P10 consists of LED status indicators that show the module status, a power switch, and the connecting terminals.

The Allen-Bradley 1771-P10 module requires 125 Volts of direct current from an external power supply. The input voltage must be in the range of 97 volts to 145 volts of direct current. The module input power consumption rating is 72 watts. The 1771-P10 module can supply a maximum of 8 amperes of output current at 5 volts of direct current. To prevent module damage and performance degradation, the I/O chassis power supply should be turned off before the 1771-P10 module is inserted into the chassis.

This power supply has a number of ports, including PS Active, which provides module status information, and Parallel P / S, which is used to connect other power supplies to make a coherent connection to maximize output. However, the 1771-P10 is the only compatible power supply that can be connected seamlessly. When these power supplies are connected in series. This device has a rated output of 16 amperes. It also includes a power switch to turn on the module and fuse to protect the voltage source and connection. The fuse ratings are 1.5 amperes at 250 volts with slow pulses. Under this power supply, the terminal block provides wiring harness connections. Turn off all existing electrical equipment before installing this power supply on the chassis.

Place the PCB behind the power module and align it with the rows above and below the I/O chassis. If there is any resistance, do not push the power module and, instead, re-enter with equal pressure. Hook the chassis latch to secure the module connection once connected, proceed with input cable functions. An external power supply is required for the Allen-Bradley 1771-P10 module, which requires an input voltage of 125 volts DC with an input voltage range of 97 to 145 volts DC. This module has a rated output current of up to 8 amperes. The Allen Bradley 1771-P10 module has an operating temperature that should remain within a range of 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, or the equivalent range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius.
