The 1771-PSCC power cable is a PLC-5 system power cable that was designed and manufactured by Allen Bradley. It connects Allen-Bradley 1771 I/O racks to 1771-PS7 power supplies or 1771-PSC power supply chassis. The 1771-PSCC power cable comes in a bundle with the cable and a plastic bag containing two cable ties and two screws. On the rack backplane connection, one cable tie and screw should be utilized to provide strain relief for the weight of the power line. Another cable tie and screw should be used to secure the power cable in the panel.

The 1771-PSCC power cable weighs approximately one (1) pound. The 1771-PS7 power supply can power a 1771 I/O chassis, as well as IMC 120, 120AR, 121, and 12 motion controller modules. It can provide 5 volts DC at a maximum current of 16 amperes to the 1771 I/O chassis. It can offer 5 volts DC at a maximum of 8 amperes of current, 15 volts DC at a maximum of 2 amperes of current, 15 volts DC at a maximum of 2 amperes of current, and 24 volts DC at a maximum of 2.5 amperes of current for the motion controller modules indicated previously. When mounted independently, the 1771-PS7 power supply may be installed next to or above the 1771 I/O chassis. The 1771-PSCC power cable can be used when mounting the 1771-PS7 power supply within 5 feet. To reduce stress on the cable connections that link to the power supply and the chassis, a substantial bend should be left in the cable.
