The Allen-Bradley 1783-BMS10CGP is a compact Ethernet Cisco switch for industrial networks. The 1783-BMS10CGP supports an input current rating of 2 Amperes and an input voltage rating of 48 Volts DC. The 1783-BMS10CGP provides eight fast ethernet RJ45 and two gigabit Ethernet ports. The 1783-BMS10CGP includes DLR connectivity that enhances network architecture. The 1783-BMS10CGP also includes an SD card to simplify the device replacement. The 1783-BMS10CGP includes CIP SYNC precision time protocol that permits the synchronization between automation devices with high accuracy clock for precision motion, diagnostics, and fault detection. The 1783-BMS10CGP switch dissipates an electrical power of 20 Watts and consumes a power of 15 Watts.

The 1783-BMS10CGP supports and smart ports which permit the users to configure ports optimally like automation devices and switches. It can cooperate with two switches on a unique ring.
