The 1790D-T4R0 is a 4-channel input Resistance Temperature Detector(RTD) base module. The module is designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. Moreover, the word count that the module can produce is 10 bytes for input. On the contrary, the module has no bytes consumption for the output. Further, the module has a value of 4 channels, RTD/Resistance Input per module, while it has an input range of 1…625 Ω. Besides, it has a specification for the resolution as: "16 bits across 625 Ω, and 0.1 °C/bit or 0.1°F/bit (RTD Sensors) while 20bit Sigma-Delta modulation converter. The Allen-Bradley 1790D-T4R0 input RTD supports the 16-bit Integer (2's complement) data format while it has a scan time per channel that is 8 ms/channel at notch Filter=60Hz. The total accuracy rate of this module is 0.2% Full scale @ 0…55 °C, and it has a settable notch filter range for various frequencies range is as 10 Hz (default), 25 Hz, 50 Hz, 60 Hz, 100 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz. Moreover, it can support a 1mA excitation current range and five mΩ of input impedance. The overall DeviceNet power requirements for this module are Supply voltage of - 24V dc nominal and Voltage range of - 11…28.8V dc while the Power dissipation of - 1.2 W max @ 28.8V dc. In addition, it has four indicators for displaying I/O status, which are red and green. However, the module is not compliant with any expansion modules. In brief, an RTD is a kind of temperature sensor used to manufacture the VariΩ' temperature probe range.
