Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation designed and manufactured the 1792D-16BVT0CD module, part of the ArmorBlock Maxum I/O line. The diagnosis features of the component are entirely operational, and the user can handle them with the Y splitter wires. Besides that, the product comes with the ArmorBlock Maxum branding and is part of the 1792D product family. It also has a function to avoid the necessity of a protective enclosure and supports DeviceLogix. Moreover, it has 16 inputs with either PNP (sourced) or default NPN (sinking) devices. Furthermore, the module can provide the necessary information to resolve short circuits or open wires. It also supports 3 to 16 wire or dry contact with PNP or NPN devices per block and 4 to 8 PNP or NPN devices per block. On the inputs, the module is self-contained and has a voltage rating of 24 V DC. All communication takes place over the DeviceNet network. On this Armor-Block Maxum module, the max on-state voltage for sinking devices is 25 V DC, with a minimum voltage of 10 V DC. Furthermore, the 1792D-16BVT0CD module also features an on-state current of 10 milliAmps (highest) and two milliAmps (min). Sinking devices have a 5 VDC off-state voltage, while sourcing devices have a 25 VDC off-state voltage. The module's off-state current is 1.5 milliAmps. The sensor's source current is 50 milliAmps per input. It can transmit (500 KB) per second (330 ft) @ a distance of 100 meters.
