The digital output module Allen-Bradley 1794-OA8I Flex I/O may be placed on a variety of 1794 TBUs. These TBU's, along with the output module and an adapter, make up a complete Flex I/O system, and these terminal bases also house the majority of the wire connections for the entire system and the output module. This wiring configuration allows you to simply detach, service, or replace the 1794-OA8I digital output module without having to disturb the wiring or separate and reconnect a significant number of wires. The 1794-OA8I output module has a nominal voltage of 120 volts AC, a minimum voltage of 85 volts AC, and a maximum voltage of 132 volts AC. The 1794-OA8I digital output module has a North American hazardous site approval rating and may be used in any industrial environment that is classified as Class 1, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D. To protect the output module from common dangerous chemicals in industrial settings and to ensure that it lasts as long as possible, always place it in an appropriate enclosure. When used in Zone 2 environments, this module must be mounted in an ATEX/IECEx Zone 2 certified enclosure with a minimum ingress protection grade of IP54 and utilized in an environment with no more than Pollution Degree 2. The enclosure must only be accessed with the aid of a tool. Users must ensure that the total voltage from all of these sources does not exceed the stated isolation voltage rating before using the 1794-OA8I digital output module.
