This module is a FLEX I/O isolated input analog module. This module, which was designed and manufactured by Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation, ensures reliable operation in harsh industrial conditions. It enables the engineers to isolate it as far from the programmable logic controllers also to send control signals to actuators over long distances on the factory floor easily. The insertion and removal of this module should not be carried out when the backplane power is on since an electrical arc is likely to occur. Therefore, it is advisable that the power be off. The 1794-OF41XT is not resistant to sunlight and other ultraviolet radiations and, therefore, should be installed in an enclosed area.
Disconnection of this module should only be done when the power is turned off. However, the power can be disconnected if this industrial equipment is being used in a non-hazardous area. This module must always be protected against electrostatic discharge. If not protected, it can cause serious internal damage, therefore, affecting the general functionality of the equipment.
