Part number 1794-VHSC, which was designed and produced by Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation, is a FLEX I/O high-speed counter module. This Allen Bradley device is a smart input / output module that does high-speed counting. Aside from that, it has two (2) input channels, each with two (2) counters, and three (3) encoder modes. This device offers 5-volt direct current (DC) or 15- to 24-volt direct current (DC) terminations. This Allen Bradley product has an input current rated at 19.1 milliamperes at 5 volts DC and 25.7 milliamperes at 6 volts DC. The input current with the 15- to 24-volt termination is 6.1 milliamperes at 15 volts DC and 10.2 milliamperes at 24 volts DC. The 1794-VHSC features two (2) isolated outputs with two (2) groups, each rated for 0.5 amperes at 5 volts DC and 1 ampere at 12 to 24 volts DC. The output voltage ranges from 5 to 7 volts DC and from 10 to 31 volts DC. This module is compatible with the 1794-TB3G and 1794-TB3GS terminal base units. The FlexBus current rating of the counter module is 75 milliamperes at 5 volts DC. This unit's heat dissipation is rated at 5 watts at 31.2 volts DC. The isolation voltage for a basic insulation type is 50 volts. The 1794-VHSC has been tested at 850 volts direct current for one second. The device is approved for use in temperatures ranging from 0 to 55 degrees Celsius (32 and 131 degrees Fahrenheit). This module has physical dimensions that measure 3.7 inches x 3.7 inches x 2.7 inches.
